About Rachel

Hello there! My name is Rachel. I am a wife, a mom, a music teacher, and a photographer. My passion for portrait photography started young. My mom was one of those who made all the cousins line up in age order during every family gathering and take the perfect posed photo. Fix the hair, tuck in the shirt, flatten out the wrinkle, everyone have the perfect teeth-showing-but-not-too-big smile, and GO! I loathed it then, but fast-forward a few years, and one of my favorite things to do was flip through the perfectly chronological, immaculately kept printed photo albums of my childhood. My sister and I would laugh at the fashion, reminisce about our terrible haircuts, and tell stories about that time in our lives, sometimes for hours. There's just nothing that brings you back to a moment you might not have remembered otherwise than a photograph. I have had a love for capturing portraits ever since.

In 2018, I took my passion for portrait photography, my eye for detail and design, and my love of people and began my little photography business. Whether it's families (big, small, or anything in between), babies, newborn lifestyle, seniors, head shots, or engagements, I would be honored to take some simple and beautiful snapshots of your life - just as it is right now. Because life is crazy and messy and BEAUTIFUL. And one day, you're gonna want to remember it just like this. <3

I live in downtown Snoqualmie with my wonderful husband of almost ten years (!!), Tom, and our amazing boys - Ellis, 8.5 years old, and Abner 5.5 years old. I am incredibly blessed to be the music teacher at Snoqualmie Elementary School (Go Cougars!), and on Sunday mornings you can find me helping lead worship at Church on the Ridge.
